Attorneys for Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Carroo say cellphone videos, along with supporting witne s statements, will exonerate the star player of a domestic-violence charge.Carroo has been accused of outside the Rutgers athletic facility following a Sept. 12 lo s to Washington State. The woman has said the two had once been romantic. Per , she was seeking a permanent restraining order against Carroo at a Wednesday hearing.”We indicated today that we have a video as well as statements of witne ses that indicate that Leonte did not have any contact and did not in any way a sault, injure or have any involvement with (the woman),” said Carroo’s attorney, Peter Gilbreth, Adam Prentice Jersey .Another attorney for Carroo, William Fetky, said Carroo’s friend will testify that he, not Carroo, knocked the woman to the ground during the altercation, according to The AP.Carroo’s mother, girlfriend and the father of his girlfriend also face charges stemming from the incident.Carroo was indefinitely suspended from the team by head coach Kyle Flood, who has been replaced on an interim basis while .Carroo has pleaded not guilty to a charge of simple a sault under domestic violence and is due in court on Oct. 1.
